life is, sometimes things can get crazy. Try these proven chill-out
tricks next time you're totally stressed out and just need some down time!
Sometimes a good way to chill out to to speak to someone, so instead of texting your friends/family/lover call them! Speaking to someone on the phone, and having a good long chat can make everything seem better. Laugh, cry, vent it will make you feel so much better, I promise!
Grab yourself some oranges or add some lemons to some tea. Apparently adding a little citrus to your diet can increase mood and decrease stress!
SMILE! (no seriously) no matter how upset or stressed you feel apparently smiling can lower your heart rate and make you feel less frazzled - so get those pearly whites out!
Experts say that when you are negative it's contagious to the people around you (and then you're surrounded by
negativity, which doesn't exactly help your stress level). If you find
yourself wanting to vent about someone, write it in your diary instead - ditch the bitching.
Stay out of harsh lighting, soft lighting is known to have a calming effect on you so switch your lamps!
Go grab a coffee with friends and take a break, or tea! That being said make sure you grab a friend - sitting alone can make your stress levels go higher!
Short, high-intensity workouts have a greater effect on stress than
slow-paced exercise does. So to max out your chill time, hit the
treadmill on high for 20 minutes in lieu of an hour of yoga.
Lastly, apparently a good make out session is great for stress levels! So get kissing!
