HOW TO: Avoid Exam Stress

Source
This is probably EXACTLY how you feel if you have finals/A Levels this year.
I know that my first exam is 38 days away (HELP), and I’ve been sat at home revising for the past week, and working non-stop for the past month and a half (hence why I haven’t been blogging – SORRY!).
BUT I have here, for you, a little saviour.

1. Get a cup of tea. Tea helps EVERY situation.
Source
2. Calm down. Stressing out is never going to help! Let yourself stress for 10 minutes, then stand up and get your act together. BE STRONG!

Source
3.       Make a plan, write a list, and organise your time. Tie a ribbon in your hair (have you ever read A Series of Unfortunate Events?)

Source
4.       Take the evenings and Sundays off. Have a long soak in the bath, or watch a movie, or go out for a drink with friends. You can’t be expected to work 24/7, even if you feel you should be. It’s been scientifically proven that 18-year-olds can only concentrate for (at most) an hour at a time: after that, the information won’t go into your head properly. So take a break!

5.       Sustenance is hugely important during work… So I tend to resort to this:

... and after admitting that, I now feel like Ellen Page in Whip It.

6. During your break, get some retail therapy! I’ve been obsessed with www.wonderlandclothing.com ever since it started, and I know you’ll love it too! If you’ve been reading Stephie’s blogs (which I hope you have!) you’ll see that she chooses her favourite clothes from their site: this dress is mine! I can’t wait to whip this one out on summer days (post-exams, of course…)

7. Watch 6 consecutive episodes of Friends. No matter my mood or situation, watching Friends always makes me feel a lot better!

Source
8. And NEVER forget that soon this will all be over. Soon enough, we’ll be those people at uni, in jobs, on gap years, or whatever your plan is after exams, and we’ll be sat there, doing EXACTLY this:

And, when that really irritating person undoubtedly comes up to you when school starts again and says “I did more revision than you over the holiday”, you do this...

  7. I can relate to a lot of these points.. I love tea, I love Friends, I've read some of the 'A Series of Unfortunate Events', and yesterday I was actually procrastinating which resulted in me pinning a picture of that exact dress on Pinterest. Thank you for posting it! Maybe it should be my reward after my exams to buy it..
I'm not studying for my finals (but GCSEs) so there isn't as much pressure. I really hope you do well in your finals though! xx

    1. Good luck with your GCSEs! I did them two years ago so I know the pain you're going through. My little sister is doing hers this year as well, and we've taken over the whole house with revision! Just work hard and you'll do really well :) X
